Richelieu Vintage Faux Pearl and Frosted Pink Shell Drop Clip-On Earrings, Gold Tone

A three-tier drop in gold tone: an oval faux pearl cabochon in a bezel, crowned by a small black cabochon; below it a short gold bar set with clear rhinestones and capped in black at both ends; and hanging from the bar, a fluted shell-shaped drop of frosted pink glass or lucite, framed in gold.

Pearl, black, gold and a dusty pink: the palette of late-century runway earrings, built with the weight and drama of the period. The frosted drop softens the whole piece, so it reads as romantic rather than loud.

Signed RICHELIEU on the back of each earring. Gold-tone base metal, faux pearl cabochons, frosted pink moulded glass or lucite, black cabochon accents and clear rhinestones. Clip-on closure with a textured reverse. The seller dates the pair to circa the 1980s to 1990s. No measurements were given.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition per the seller, with normal light wear consistent with age. The clips hold securely.
