Handmade Freshwater Pearl Cluster Necklace with Gold Charm, 18K to 22K Gold Plated

Newly made by hand. A new piece made by hand in Istanbul in the manner of old Ottoman jewellery. It is not an antique or a pre-owned item.

A dense rope of natural freshwater pearls, each pearl tipped with tiny gold beads, so the whole necklace glints as it moves. Small coloured beads in purple, green, pink and lilac and a few tufts of turquoise and lilac thread are tucked among the pearls, and a gold charm sits to one side: a pomegranate, in the maker's words a sign of abundance and health.

Natural freshwater pearls on bronze with 18K to 22K gold plating, which the maker says does not tarnish. Fully handmade. Length about 40 cm, adjustable, with a gold-tone hook clasp.
