Christian Dior Vintage 1980s Twisted Rope and Rhinestone Double Loop Clip-On Earrings, Gold Plated

Two loops of twisted gold rope, one small knot at the ear and a larger teardrop hoop swinging below it. A curved band of clear rhinestones cuts across each loop, so the sparkle follows the line of the rope instead of sitting on top of it.

This is the rope motif Dior used through the 1980s, worked here into a long earring with real presence. The lower hoop moves as you turn your head, which keeps the gold alive in evening light. Wear them with hair up and a plain neckline and let them do the talking.

Signed Chr. Dior © on the back of both clips. Gold-plated metal with clear round rhinestones. Clip-on closure for unpierced ears. About 5 cm (2 in) long. Made in France in the 1980s.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The gold finish is bright, the rhinestones are complete, and the clips close firmly.
