Christian Dior by Kramer Vintage 1950s Purple Rhinestone Pine Cone Waterfall Clip-On Earrings, Gold Plated
A tiered cascade of amethyst-purple marquise rhinestones, each in its own claw setting, falling in five rows from a round purple stone at the top to a single marquise at the tip, like the scales of a pine cone. The gold-plated settings show between the stones and frame the colour.
These come from the first years of Dior jewellery, when the New York house of Kramer made the pieces under licence. The pine cone waterfall is one of the forms collectors look for, and the depth of this purple is rare.
Signed CHRISTIAN DIOR BY KRAMER on the back and KRAMER on the back of each clip. Gold-plated brass with synthetic rhinestones. About 3 by 2 cm (1.18 by 0.79 in). Made in the 1950s.
Condition: Pre-owned, in good condition for its age. Overall vintage wear, particularly along the back, sides and edges of the metal, with plating wear on the prong claws, raised details and corners, front and back.
One pair only. Once it's gone, it's gone.
Care: Store separately in the pouch provided. Avoid perfume and water contact.
